About Us
Instructors and participants are all equally dedicated to crushing injustice
There will be brief instruction to the larger group followed by lengthy and in depth small group, on your feet trial practice with about 6 students per small group.

Our Mission

What to expect at Camp Indianola
Layout
- Bunk beds! With women on one side and men on the other separated by a common living space, as shown in this diagram
- Driftwood lodge holds 42 people, and each single gender side has their own single gender bathroom
- Instructors have smaller, more private rooms, but students all sleep in bunk beds
Amenities
- Home made meals served buffet style in a separate dining area
- Driftwood lodge opens onto the beach, so bring appropriate beach clothes and shoes
- Fire pit for campfires
What to bring & What to leave behind
- Pillow, bedding, towel; but there will be camp bedding that's not very warm.
- Ear plugs in case of snoring
- Outdoor clothes for walking in mud and on the beach
- Musical instrument and anything needed for a talent show
- Leave alcohol and recreational drugs behind. The facility we rent our space from does not permit either on their premises and won't invite us back if discovered.
Participants - who is it for, and who can attend Trial Fools?
- The newer and the less experience you have the more you are encouraged to attend
- Reduced rates available, especially for those with 0-2 years practice experience - please inquire at jb@jasonbakerlawoffices.com
- Only civil plaintiff and criminal defense lawyers may attend, and
- No one handling any insurance defense cases and no prosecutors may attend

- Lodging Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night
- All meals. Prior dinners have been salmon and prime rib, lunch of steak and chicken fajitas. There will be gluten free and vegetarian options.
- Database and forms
- Listserv - with no one handling any insurance defense cases and no prosecutors permitted
- Education events: Trial Fools is also a study group. We meet regularly to grow as trial lawyers, enhance our skills, and deepen our connections to other dedicated trial lawyers. Invites will be sent for these future events through our listserv.
